NHS Professionals - International Candidate OSCE Preparation

At NHS Professionals, we continuously grow and innovate our Education and Training offering to support our candidates and clients, ensuring that we provide a comprehensive training and development programme. We have an intimate understanding of the growing pressures that many of our client Trusts face with training and development across the NHS. Therefore, we have developed a comprehensive blended learning programme that builds on our experience as England's market leader for Nursing & Midwifery by offering training that supports participants to gain registration with the NMC.

Our range of programmes include: 

• 4 Day Intensive OSCE Preparation – Designed to enable candidates to successfully complete part 2 of the NMC Test of Competency (ToC) across the 4 NMC domains: Adult, Mental Health, Paediatric and Midwifery. This programme helps plan and prepare participants to sit the OSCE at any test centre confidently.
• 1 Day NHS Adaptation - Alongside our 4 Day Intensive OSCE preparation, we can offer an Adaptation Programme which can be delivered as an add-on or as a standalone programme. Supporting the effective transition of international candidates from their home country to the NHS broader health and social care setting within the UK. 
• 1 Day Mock Test - This one-day programme takes candidates in small groups through a full mock OSCE test under examination conditions followed by feedback and development of a personal improvement plan to prepare candidates for the OSCE examination at any of the OSCE test centres.

We can offer any one of our programmes as a solution and not as a complete package. If you require support on either one of these three or all areas, NHS Professionals can work with you to ensure your training needs are fully met and supported.

How are our programmes delivered?

All our programmes are delivered using an active blended learning approach, utilising our online learning platform and small group teaching sessions focusing on continuous participant engagement. This approach focuses on close interaction with participants allowing for individual assessment, coaching and feedback, ensuring participant growth and development. An impressive range of accessible and up-to-date resources and materials are utilised across all programmes, focusing on ensuring that the content is both accurate and accessible for participants.

Our programmes are delivered by a team of educators with experience as NMC OSCE Test Centre Assessors, with many years working with international Nurses and Midwives to integrate them effectively into new roles in NHS Trusts and the broader healthcare settings.
