Location/Trust: Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, SK2 7JE

Pay Rates (hourly):  Days: £9.21 Saturdays/Nights: £12.98 Sundays/Bank Hols: £16.85

The Role:

Are you an experienced Care Support Worker look for shifts, working for one of the UK’s most respected NHS Foundation Trusts?

Based within Stepping Hill Hospital, you will be responsible for implementing programmes of care with clients, you will provide routine care including personal care and support to patients under the directions of the registered nurse and under, you may at times be expected to work on alternative wards to meet service needs.

You will be providing support and assistance to other members of the team; you will be responsible for the assessment of patient care needs and development, where needed. You will assist in the running and organisation of work as required, ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, whilst also support the Junior Staff and Management throughout the Department. You may at times, be expected to assist on other wards during periods of increased acuity.

To apply for this post, you will have the following:

  • Hold a valid Care Certificate
  • Have 6 months experience within the NHS or a Private Sector

 Skills/Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effective with the multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
  • Be able to carry out ward clerical tasks, as required
  • Be able to assist with patient care activities
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information
  • Carry out any tasks required to maintain the safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the ward area
