Job: Registered Nurse Band 5 – Ward T7

Location: The Royal Oldham Hospital

We are looking for nurses to cover lines of work on ward T7 at The Royal Oldham hospital.

Pay Rates: Days: £13.79 Saturdays/Nights: 17.93 Sunday/Bank Holidays: 22.07

The ward is a 47 bedded unit consisting of 32 surgical beds and 17 beds on the Trauma and stabilisation unit where acute orthopaedic admissions are taken. There are 6 bays and 21 side rooms. The ward currently takes patients of mixed covid pathways, no aerosol generating procedures are undertaken on the ward. Beds can include a range of general surgery, vascular, gynaecology and medical patients.

You will be supported by the specialist teams and ward based Trauma Coordinators.

We can offer trial supernumerary shifts if you are interested in a block booking and training is available.

Skills/Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive assessment of patient care needs.
  • Maintain accurate patient records to enable effective care delivery.
  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with the NMC guidelines and policies.
  • Recognise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
  • Seek/act on advice from a senior team member or relevant other, as appropriate.
  • Act always in accordance with Professional Code of Conduct and guiding documents.
  • Adhere to Trust Policies and Procedures.

  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience as Registered Nurse in the last 2 years and registered with NMC.
