Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistant Opportunities

Immunisations Team

  • At least x1 shift a week; but a weekly commitment would be required to enable consistency of team members, where training and support can be given
  • Shifts available Monday – Friday 08:30 - 1630; which can be flexible if discussed
  • Location: Base will be Clarendon, Hebburn
  • Work will be into schools in Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland
  • Shifts until 31st March 2022

This role is suitable for Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants that are willing to be trained to support the delivery of COVID vaccinations to 12-15yearolds in schools and clinics. Training and support will be given to ensure you are part of the team. This is an additional request to support children and will be a secondary team to the existing School Based Immunisation team. The successful person(s) will be providing a vital service to support the vaccine delivery.

As a registered Nurse you will be part of a team who work to a PGD delivering the COVID vaccine to 12-15year olds in comprehensive schools. There will always be a minimum of 2 RGNs at each session.

As a HCA, you will support the delivery and collection of consent forms to schools, attend schools with a team of staff. At the schools you will coordinate the flow of children and support during the recovery period.

It is essential you are a car driver/owner and are willing to work into schools across the 3 areas.

Please note the department requires someone that can commit a period of employment up to 31.03.21.
