    Band 5 - Business as usual Rates (From 01/04/2019)

  • £12.25 per hr - Days
  • £15.92 per hr - Saturday/nights

We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Registered General Nurses to join the Flexible Bank at City Hospitals Sunderland.  The bank worker will be required to carry out all relevant forms of quality care to patients who attend the Emergency Department.

In order to apply for a post, you must have a minimum of 6 months paid experience in an acute hospital environment within the last 2 years.

City Hospitals Sunderland is the leading acute healthcare provider in Sunderland, operating from Sunderland Royal Hospital, Eye Infirmary and the Children's Centre.

The Trust offers a range of services from two main sites within Sunderland, Sunderland Royal Hospital and Sunderland Eye Infirmary. Our most recent additions are a new ward block for medical patients and the Chester Lodge.  Our aim is to treat patients promptly and with care in all hospital settings. We have several specialist services and Sunderland Eye Infirmary is the leading regional eye treatment centre, with a recently opened second cataract theatre.

The post holder will;

  

  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
  • Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual
  • Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards
