Job Title and Grade: Medical Secretary – Band 4

Pay Rates: Days: £11.20ph

Location: Hereford

The Role:

Key Skills/Responsibilities: (may include but not limited to):

  • Have a minimum of 6 months paid experience at Band 4 level Medical Secretary in a hospital environment within the last 2 years
  • Dairy Management
  • Cancelling and Re-booking clinics/appointments as delegated by Supervisor / Line manager
  • Taking telephone messages, deal with them in a timely and efficient way and refer as appropriate
  • Amending and sending out letters
  • Ensuring appropriate care records and files are available to clinicians for each clinic session and for ad hoc requests
  • Accurately inputting confidential data using a variety of Trust IT systems in a timely way
  • Booking interpreters and transport for patients as required
  • Providing flexible administrative and clerical cover as required to meet the needs of the services
  • Audio Typing
  • Minute Taking

In order to apply for a post, you must have a Minimum of 6 months UK (Private or NHS) Administration experience within the last 2 years, and have minute taking experience.
