Band 5 – pay rates – £15.40- £24.64

We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motived Band 5 registered Nurses with mental health experience to work at various sites around Norwich. Our team of health professionals are experienced in assessments and interventions for adult service users with age-related needs - but not exclusively for people over 65. We help if you are suffering from acute, severe and enduring mental health problems including anxiety, depression, psychosis, confusion, dementia and related behavioural problems.

Duties will include:

• Responsible for clinical assessment of a group of patients and management of a team, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented and evaluated, involving patients and users.
• Organisation of cross-departmental/organisational activities to support patient care pathways.
• Demonstrate technical and/or practical skills to ensure optimum patient care management including; patient observations; equipment management and administration of agreed invasive tests/procedures.
• Support patients, carers and others during difficult situations arising in the clinical area, e.g. imparting bad news or following an unexpected event

Successful applicants will:

• Have at least 6 months hospital experience completed in the last 2 years as a Permanent, Agency or Bank Mental Health Nurse in a UK Private Hospital, UK Prison or within an NHS or UK Private Mental Health Community Setting
• Have valid NMC registration
• Knowledge and demonstration of the use of evidence based care
• Excellent communications skills
• Ability to maintain a high standard of record keeping
• Be able to work as an independent practitioner
